    Is your dog nervous in new places, around other dogs, or around people? Can they be a little “too much” in public? Are they easily overstimulated?

    Believe me, we get it! We strongly believe that every dog deserves the chance to shop in our store! Our Socially Selective Private Shopping Sessions are designed to ensure your dog can enjoy our store in a safe, calm, and welcoming way!

    During your Socially Selective Session, you and your dog can enjoy our entire store to yourselves ensuring uninterrupted shopping time without other customers and dogs.

    McKenna, owner of Roxie’s Barkery, will be in the store with you and your pup during the appointment. Once you reach out to book your Socially Selective Session McKenna will ask you to share a little more information on your dogs specific needs so that she can best prepare for your pup's visit.

    Socially Selective Shopping Sessions will take place after hours and will be booked based on our availability. There is no limit to the amount of sessions you can book. If this is the only way you can take your dog shopping at our store you are more than welcome to book a session as often as you’d like!

    If there is any possibility of your dog exhibiting socially selective behavior we strongly recommend scheduling a private session. It is our top priority to make sure all two-legged and four-legged visitors can enjoy our store in a safe and stress free environment. If your dog ever exhibits this behavior outside of a private session we have the right to ask you to exit the store to ensure everyones safety.

    We’re calling it “The Leo Way!” in honor of my boy Leo who also needs to go shopping privately as well. I understand how hard it can be to feel like your pup's missing out, Leo was never able to shop in a pet store until I opened Roxie's Barkery! Offering this to our customers is very important to me!

    Our store is located in a public pet friendly building. It is very important that you share all of the ways that your pup is socially selective so that McKenna can best plan for your visit and instruct you on how to best enter the building.

    Booking a Private Shopping Session at Roxie’s Barkery will do just that! Make all your pup's dreams come true! Let them have their very own Private Shopping Session at their favorite store!

    They’ll be able to sniff out the pawfect gifts without any interruptions! No need to even hold their leash! Let them sniff away and choose from our large selection of all of the toys and treats they could ever dream of!

    And of course, like we always do, we will take their birthday picture and give them a shout out on our socials!

    Private Shopping Sessions will take place after hours and will be booked based on our availability.

  • To Celebrate their Life

    We promise to be a safe, comforting, and trusting space to visit throughout all of the stages of your pup's life, even through the tough time of preparing for their journey to the Rainbow Bridge.

    Whether it be that we are your pup's absolute favorite store or maybe they haven’t shopped with us yet. Either way, we would be honored to have your pup's come in to have their special day and enjoy our Barkery & Boutique all to themselves.

    Let them sniff around and pick out some of their favorite treats and toys, or let them just enjoy the experience, and of course they’ll get lots of complimentary treats and lots and lots of pets and love from us!

    Overall. Enjoy this special moment with your pup and let them have THEIR SPECIAL DAY and a whole entire store to themself!

More basic information that applies to all Private Sessions:

•There is no extra charge to book any of our Private Shopping Session options! We just ask that you please attend your session on time and/or notify us if you can no longer make it to the session you booked.

•Scheduling this service will be based off of our availability. (We will always do the best we can to accommodate Celebration of Life Sessions in a timely manor.) All Private Shopping Sessions will have a slight time limit just to respect that these sessions are taking place at the end of our day. Please note our store is in a public pet friendly building, we will assist you and communicate with you via phone during entry to our store to ensure safety if your booking due to your dog being socially selective.

•We will place a sign on our door for every Private Session as well as locking our door to avoid any interruptions the best we can.

•McKenna will be the staff member at each session. If you’re booking a socially selective session she will base her involvement in your session on the information you give her. For example: If your dog is people selective she will stay behind the counter and let you enjoy the session with your dog and ensure that everyone (two-legged & four legged) is safe and comfortable!

•We like to record and take photos during our Private Shopping Sessions to share on our social media to help spread the word about this offering. If you prefer that we do not take photos and videos of your session please let us know.

•Accommodations for socially selective dogs for the many events we host has been a common request as well. We will be implementing accommodations for future events that this may be applicable for. When offered it will be advertised. You are also always more than welcome to reach out and ask! We will always do what we can to accommodate your request.
